About This File

In order to import a bunch of maps instead of replacing the existing 5 over and over again i would suggest you use this menu script.

(This was created for Teardown v.04.6 and does not work for recently updated versions)

In order to make it easier to use and without the need to edit code i automated the process of adding levels.
Additionally you can actually go ahead and give the levels your own names.

Better than in the previous version, the buttons are procedurally generated.

Installation:

Paste the contents of the .zip to Steam->steamapps->common->Teardown.
(if you use other script mods i recommend backing up the menu.lua in data->ui)

New procedure to add maps:

  1. The folder and the .xml of the map have to be renamed to any name, it has to be the same one.
  2. Go to Steam->steamapps->common->Teardown->create
  3. Put them in this folder and launch the custom_maps.bat
  4. (optional) if you want the ingame names to be different then change them in the custom_maps.lua (second list)

In a future update i'd like to make the menu more aesthetic.

I agree, this is one of the most useful mods on the entire website.

Here's a small hint to how to run the bat automatically:

Create a run.cmd file next to teardown.exe and put there the following content:

@echo off
cd create && custom_maps.bat && cd .. && start "" teardown.exe

Now you can use this file (instead of the .exe one) to start the game with fully automated custom maps… kind of. A quick and dirty yet working solution.

Really great!, I have some suggestions, If possible, make the bat file automatically run, not that important, but would make it easier, second, maybe make the bat also be an installer so you just have to download it, put in the create and it will edit the menu lua to have your changes, this would make it more noob freindly. (i am a native english speaker just too lazy to make read nicely)

Thanks for the praise ^^
I would love to import the files without running the bat, currently trying to figure out a way around it.
Also your idea with it being an installer is great, i haven't thought of it. Personally i wouldn't want to make the .bat too complicated as of now, one should always be cautious about executing a downloaded batch file so i want to keep that one simple for now.
